Ronni Cohen-Boyar

After studying sociology at the University of Michigan, Cohen-Boyar spent the majority of her professional career in various positions within the banking and financial sectors, with a special focus on affordable housing. In 2007, Cohen-Boyar’s world took a drastic turn from her life as a 16-year Vice President at Bank of America. Laid off from her BOA post in December 2006, her first breast cancer diagnosis came just four months later. Shortly thereafter, in November 2008, she found out about the Executive Director job at Komen and was named its second fulltime Executive Director. The rest, they say, is history. In her current position, Cohen-Boyar’s roles are many, including serving as the Affiliate’s spokesperson on all matters of breast health.
