Dr. Mohamed Lazzouni

Dr. Lazzouni’squalifications for this lecture are substantial. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Center for the Study of Jewish-Christian-Muslim Relations at Merrimack College and is a Visiting Scholar of Islamic Studies at Boston College.  He was trained in classical Islam in traditional schools in North Africa, and was affiliated with the Oxford Center of Islamic Studies at its founding stage. The focus of his training was on Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Philosophy, and the History of Spiritual Islam.

One area of focus for Dr. Lazzouni’s has been “interfaith dialogue”. He has worked tirelessly in developing several programs aimed at bringing together Jews, Christian and Muslims to help bridge the differences between the cultures.

Dr. Lazzouni has a PH.D. in Physics from Oxford University, a Masters Degree in Physics from London University, and a degree in finance from Harvard’s Executive Education Program.
